To everyone who has downloaded Love Live! ~After School Idols~ so far, thanks pal! I appreciate your interest and support. To show my thanks and appreciation to you guys, I've made a update to the VN to make it more enjoyable for you and future players.

Below are the patch notes that is also included in the patch and download for the full game, which is prepatched if you are downloading it for the first time now.

Love Live! ~After School Idols~ The Chikafag and Chika 2 v1.4696 Patch Notes

-Autosave added

Save Slot 1 is now an autosave slot. At the beginning of every scene, the game will automatically save to this slot. It is recommended that you still save manually in the other slots. If you are coming from an older version of the game, ya should load your slot 1 save and save it in another slot if you would like to keep it from being overwritten.

-Installation Method Changed

The game is packaged in a simple zip file now, instead of an custom 2 part installer, with some redundant files removed. This should make installation and deletion (why would ya remove this VN from ya hard drive anyway?) much quicker and easier. If you were having trouble installing the game before, this method of delivery should fix that.

-ESC Key will now Exit the Game

Maybe ya got a room mate.. Maybe ya Mom or Dad barges into your room unexpectedly.. or maybe ya got an emergency, idk.

Whatever the reason is, if you need to exit the game immediately without a prompt so no one sees you playing a Love Live fangame on your computer, the ESC key is your friend now. Make sure you don't press it by accident though.

-Typos fixed

There were like three of 'em lol.

-Enter Key will now advance text

You no longer have to click the screen with your mouse, you can just press enter instead if that's more comfortable for you. However, be sure not to press enter during scenes where there is no text box and the dialog is advancing automatically as this may lead to awkward scene timing issues and your game could hang.

-The Ability To Save During Specific Choices

If you played before, you might have noticed you couldn't save during certain important parts, this has been fixed.

-Better Handling of End Game Choice

You can skip right to the ending now instead of having to sit through the final scenes if you prefer.

-Engine Version Updated

VN Maker was updated since the previous version, so the engine is more stable now.

-Minor tweaks and changes

You probably won't even notice them.

NOTE: For users who choose to redownload the game entirely instead of patching and want to transfer over their old save data.

You have to move all the files that have a filetype called VNDATA to the new game folder.

These files filenames are SaveGame_ ,globalData and settings

As a special bonus, I am officially announcing a sequel to Love Live ~After School Idols~ is currently in development. Development started late last year and will likely wrap up next year. Follow the page below for updates on the project as they come along.
